The planing region above 15 Knots in this graph was predicted using methods put together by Dutch Naval Architect Dingo Tweedie that combines methods and data from Savitsky, Lee, Blount, Fox, and Hadler. In between is an estimate of the 'Hump speed' drag caused by the boat climbing out over it's own bow wave to begin planing.
